Mermaid Alyce - Simply Betty Stamps

Not very often do I have time to create something "just for fun".  All my design team commitments are done, so I've been dying to play with Mermaid Alyce.   I took a different road with this one and created her green with my dot accents on her body.  I love how it turned out.  For her tail, I make it 3d with bumpys of sparkle gel paint.  Definitely crafting out of my box per say.  I was thrilled to use the anchor charm that I've been saving "forever" from a gift I purchased for my husband years ago.  Yes, I've been hording it waiting for the perfect opportunity to use it.  The easel card gave me a larger surface to play with.  It made sense to me to load the card up with gems and pearls, as every mermaid should have a stash of them.  Hope you enjoyed my creation.  I'll be entering the following challenges: - Make it Feminine - Let's go to the movies - Movie is Splash - Anything Goes - Lots of Sparkle - Girly - Just as you like - B - Blue and Bling

The Corrosive Challenge of "Pretty Pastels" is sponsored by one of my favorites, The Paper Shelter.  I love how you get paper layouts, precolored images, as well as ones for you to color!
I chose to work with So Pretty, remember wearing your shirts this way?  Now that I'm older, not a chance!  I crafted this cute little gift purse.  It will be perfect to put nail polish, jewelry, you know, girly stuff for a sweet gift.  Well, I'm on the fence if this is pastel enough. I've been working with a lot of pink lately, and just wanted to make something softer but not the traditional pastels.  Hope I've inspired you to come join in the fun.  The Paper Shelter is offering a $20 gift certificate to the winner of the challenge.  Their digis are reasonably priced, and you could sure make a haul with $20 worth!  Won't you come and play with us?  I'll be entering the following challenges: - Polka dots - Anything Goes - Cute
